Cranberry Mini Wreaths

This is a great Christmas decoration craft for all members of the family and from an average punnet of cranberries you can make 6-8 decoration rings….. making them less that 30p each.

You’ll need: 1 punnet of Cranberries, thin gauge garden wire, a thin nail or darning needle and some scissors/ cutters.

Step 1-2: Sort out 15-18 cranberries or roughly the same size (cranberry size will vary in the punnet, it makes it a lot easier if they are the same size on each ring.

Step 3; Use the thin nail/ darning needle to make a hole from top to bottom of the berries, this will make it easier to thread.

Step 4-6 Use the wire end like a needle (if you are using thin gauge, double the wire over and twist it), thread through the berries until you have a 20cm string, pull them onto the wire with 20cm of wire at each end of your string of berries.

Step 7-9 - Cut the wire and twist the 2 ends together securely. You have a few option now: You can leave the ring as is and use the excess wire to make a hoop to hang the wreath. With thin wire, you can wrap it around each berry to secure it further or you can decorate with string or ribbon.

The berries will dry naturally over the 2-3 weeks of Christmas.
